Let me explain. No, there is too much. Let me sum up.
In the context of 300, Xerxes makes unrealistic promises and required everyone to bow to him and his power (ego), like Obama. Bush only asked that people stand and work and earn their own way.

I don’t know about you but ambigious hints and metaphors are not a very strong argument. Can you give actual examples of when people had to bow to Obama in the metaphorical sense or otherwise that is any different from what Bush did, or are you afraid of blaming him for continuing the wars that Bush started. So what about those lost lives in Iraq, I’m guessing this is what you consider to stand and work for Bush. Too bad many of those men were lying on their backs at the end of their journey. See I can be metaphorical too, while making references to actual events however.

I can see where someone might have an issue with the way Obama has handled the economy or the BP oil situation or even the Mideast – but I can’t see where he has “required everyone to bow to him and his power” or for that matter, his ego. He’s far from an Imperial President, if anything he’s rather low key. The humor falls flat.
