Ah, the standard “mock anti-filesharing arguments by cooking up a completely unrelated situation and trying to shoehorn it into an analogy” tactic.

but if I don’t pirate the terrorist win, then they will take me guns and make hand over my fat food then Ill have to see stupid casemods face on all the websites all the time.

Ah, the standard “I don’t get the sarcasm contained in said webcomic” tactic.

I’m not big on filesharing, for the most part. But the e book system is really screwed up right now. If I buy a book, I’d like to be able to loan it to a friend without loaning my whole library and means of reading it out (kindle, nook, etc). I’d also like the option of selling it to a used book store to make room for new books. Since I don’t have those options, my e book shouldn’t cost as much as a brand new hard cover copy of the physical book.
Also, the RIAA response to filesharing has been as batshit crazy as the above comic suggests. Now they are after creative commons licensing since it supposedly threatens the copyright system as a whole.

No. It threatens their profit margin.
Second hand sales and sharing make them zero dollars in profit. If they can destroy the second hand market (by making it illegal or impossible) then every book/game/movie sale is money in their pocket.

Good point on e-books.
The RIAA is batshit crazy, all of them. There is not one sane person among them.

Oh, I agree, the RIAA goes way overboard in their policies on filesharing. And I never said to anyone not to “fileshare”. I do it myself. I’m just honest about what it is. :p

Copying is not theft.
Stealing a thing leaves one less left
Copying it makes one thing more;
that’s what copying’s for.
Copying is not theft.
If I copy yours you have it too
One for me and one for you
That’s what copies can do
If I steal your bicycle
you have to take the bus,
but if I just copy it
there’s one for each of us!
Making more of a thing,
that is what we call “copying”
Sharing ideas with everyone
That’s why copying
is
FUN!

So, sneaking into a theater to watch a movie isn’t theft either? Theft means you’re taking something that doesn’t belong to you. ( You haven’t bought it, etc )
Of course, technically, you’re stealing due compensation from the owner when you “share” movies, music, etc.

No it’s trespass. And you are taking up space that could be filled by a paying customer. And causing wear-and-tear on the seats and floor. And maybe using soap and water in the toilets.
Filesharing is more like watching a drive-in movie from a nearby hill or rooftop.
