19 Responses to thomas jefferson – question with boldness even the existence of a god

  1. It`s Friday night.
I want naked people, funny shit, and weird shit.

  2. Googling this brings you to Jefferson’s Letter to Peter Carr, which is an interesting read, and actually expresses a great tolerance and admiration for something that could very well be an intricate fairy tale. But it’s not nearly the indictment on religion that the out of context quote makes it out to be.

Seems to me, that people who are secure in their belief that there is no God and that religion is hokum, shouldn’t be so threatened and scared of it.

So, reason #854 why, despite my lack of a belief in God, I refuse to identify myself with these types of people 😉

  3. Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason, than that of blind-folded fear

  4. Go go massively out of context quote. Hey, anyone else read the Jefferson bible?

  5. I question boldly the existence of God,
but never, ever shall I question the existence of Allah,
Blessed be He ever, and Mohammed, his messenger, Blessings
    and peace be upon him.
