Sorry, can i ask a dumb question?
Why all the hate towards BP? They didnt own the rig, didnt operate it.
Am astounded that I havent seen any mention of “kicking” Transocean’s arses, the company that owns and operates the rig where I believe 11 people died. Or is this something that has been pursued in the US but not been reported on elsewhere?

BP, Halliburton and Transocean are being investigated in the death of the 11 rig workers. But, in the end, it’s BP’s well. They’re the ones who allowed the shoddy work, the unworkable contingency plan. They’re ultimately responsible for everything that happened and continues to happen. Even today, BP won’t allow the clean crews to wear masks and hazmat-like suits. They prefer to pay for peple getting sick than to actually make sure they don’t get sick; just so the press can’t take pics of workers wearing hazmat suits and masks.
