my daughter pulled a knife in class and got expelled from the 7th grade. when I went to enroll her the next year, expecting her to have to redo the 7th grade, I was informed that they advanced her to the 8th grade and that the expulsion didn’t mean she failed the grade.

lol, yeah the teacher was out of the room and some kids were ganging up on here in class. she was sitting at her desk when 4 kids surrounded her and were being dicks. so she pulled a pocket knife out of her bag, unfolded it, and slammed it on her desk.
everyone backed away, and then she got up and went to the principal’s office on her own.

So where was the teacher? As usual they’re off fucking around while kids basically wait to get assigned homework.
The principal should have commended her and expelled the other 4 kids. But that would make sense and we can’t have that.
The backward-ness of the way these things get handled drove me absolutely crazy as both a teacher and a mom. Somehow it’s always the kid that is the butt of the jokes, and the bottom of every pile-on, that get noticed and suspended…as if they’re purposefully being a “disturbance”.
As a kid, I always had a knife. Traveling everyday on the subways in Manhattan was not to be done unarmed in the 70s.

Though, if you were truely clueless you could go into the ret paly tree and grab it as a holy paly, but then you’d be a scrub who isn’t a good healer, or good dps.
