Aw snap, Sarah Polley! I just recently saw Mr. Nobody which was amazing and Polley was in it. The only other film I know she’s in is Dawn of the Dead. I was hoping to see her in another horror film. She’s beautiful but her face was made for screaming and crying.

I thought it was great. So fucked up. Ebert complained that we didn’t get to understand Dren enough, which means he missed the point. Dren is a chimera with fucked up parents who can’t even understand their own behaviours, much less hers. Reminded me of Cronenberg’s work at times. And amazing visual fx. Too bad Core Digital shut down just a few weeks ago. They were the best in the country.
I loved how disturbing it got. Probably a shock for people expecting a run of the mill monster flick. Great director too.

Good explanation. The only other thing I had a problem with (apart from the shock factor) is how the people never acted with any ethical consideration at any stage.
