I would never have realized that was Will Wheaton unless someone told me…

Why are there no comments on this? Wil is awesome. Those Wesley haters are nasty little bastards who made this poor guy’ss teenage years a nightmare. He’s such a nerd, I love him all to bits.
The other guy, I have never heard of. But I’m guessing he’s cool too.

Wheaton: Oh, I wore a clown sweater and was Wesley Crusher. I’m awesome.
Scalzi: I wrote Old Man’s War, but no, I’m the troll and you’re awesome.
Wheaton is meh to me. Maybe because I like Star Wars and reading.

I’m not sure why you think liking Star Wars and reading = Wheaton is meh. He’s a Star Wars fan and an author. I’m not a huge Trekkie but I like Wil because he’s a well-rounded nerd, and his optomistic joy in the face of so many unreasonable haters is refreshing. He’s a hoopy frood who really knows where his towel is.

Alrighty then…

I’m sorry. I thought you said you liked to read. You’ve never read The Hitchiker’s Guide to the Galaxy?
Wil would have gotten the reference.

That wasn’t me. He’s a blogger who found his niche, and the same go for his publishing. I equivocate him to a girl gamer AKA “I’m so geek, gamer, shut-in counter culture”
To assume I’ve never read Douglas Adams. The nerve.

LOL You know, now that you mention it, I thought I had read all THGTTG at one point, but I just looked them up, and I’m realizing only bits and pieces of it sound familiar to me.
I know I started reading them at one point. And then I watched the movie. Which, in retrospect, was a mistake, having not read all the books. I really shall have to remedy that.
And FYI, you compare me to an unattainable standard. Few could hope to match wits with the great Sir Wheaton. Have you not watched “The Guild”? He has shared a bed with Felicia Day for crying out loud…!

Sorry, it’s almost 4 am here. I’m feeling a little loopy.
I don’t get the AKA reference. Do you mean you think he is a poser?

I don’t know much about Wheaton’s post-TNG career, but Scalzi is the shit. His exposé of the Creationist Museum in Kentucky is one of my all-time favorite permanent bookmarks:

I also have no clue as to what their feud is about, but I avoid fanfic & fanfic beefs like plutonium.

They are friends, actually. I think the crazy image and the fanfic contest are just for fun. They are requesting no slash
Thanks for the link, I’ll check it out.
