I don’t think the human shaped pillows and stuff is really different from the blow up dolls and other sex toys we have here. Most Asian countries express their sexuality, and in many cases the cultural repression of sexual expression, in different ways.

And as for the rest of it, it’s just Rule 34 in action. And those are not limited to the Asian continent. Interestingly enough, though most folks would consider Asian countries (Japan being the flagship) some of the most kinky, most of reading I have done on the topic actually indicates that Westerners are statistically far more likely to engage in sexual predation than easterners.
