I dig it. Has a very Ultimate vibe to it.
My only beef is it looks pretty modern, so if theses are his WWII fatigues I have some reservations. All in all I am glad that they managed to find some middle ground between the source material and realism.

I suspect they’ll work the wings in somehow, just as a cameo/homage/tip-of-the-hat to the comic, but probably not as a permanent thing. I have mixed feelings about it: Yes, they could look extremely queer. BUT I WUB DEM {:3

I’m surprised how well this works: the suspenders substituting for stripes; the way the brown of his gloves, boots & belt complements the rest of the outfit & makes him look more supersoldier than superhero; even the “A” doesn’t piss me off.
Pic #2 pose is straight from a CA comic cover, but I couldn’t tell you which one…
