I’d never even heard of this phenomenon until a few months ago when a colloidal silver zealot posted a long screed about its benefits at a messageboard I frequent. Every other sentence was a condescending chip-on-its-shoulder bit of trollbait, and he predictably went completely batshit & drove off in the waaaambulance the moment somebody pointed out the weaksauce in his argument & data.
I got curious, though, and looked into it online. What followed was several hours of solid, wall-to-wall WTF.
And before the accusation is made: yes, I’m fully aware how easy it is tint somebody’s skin tone in photoshop –or any visual media, for that matter. The links below, also, weren’t picked with any real due consideration…just curiosity throwing darts in the webosphere. Consider it all a priori.

school is ending, so i was doing the Open House thing with the kid earlier, and saw these self portraits from some of the seniors. i knew i had to share with you guys. i hope you can see past the obvious imperfections and take some time to appreciate each of these for the awesome that they are.
