is it to much to ask for a few new stereotypes? Is it that the stereotypes have a certain level of humor because they are familar? Or is it that people are just inherently lazy and wont make the effort to be creative until they are forced to?

Perhaps its because people who use the stereotypes never actually know who they are talking about, and thus all their info comes from TV, the source of all stereotypes.
