Is that Milton Friedman’s head on the top left?

BUT WHAT ABOUT TEH ROADS?!

Yeah, the whole “government should be as small and unrestrictive as possible” plus “abortion is a crime” thing has always made me LOL.

Yeah, the official party line is pro-choice. Most Libertarians are pro-choice but the Pauls (Ron and Rand) are making it seem otherwise.

Is this suppose to indicate that being a Libertarian is a bad thing, or being a Libertarian Troll? I’m not a Libertarian, but I believe they are better than communist, fascist and religion based political movements, like the Muslim’s Sharia.
BTW, Heinlein was a Libertarian? If I remember right, his writings promoted individual liberty and personal responsiblity, but wasn’t anti-government.

Most of the “esoterics” during Heinlein’s day were Libertarians. Hubbard,Parsons, LaVey to name a few.

Technically, Sharia isn’t a political movement. It’s literally “Islamic law” and as it varies from sect to sect and from country to country, so it’s more of an umbrella term. Doesn’t mean it’s not full of self-righteous, anachronistic, illogical, close-minded crap.

Yes, I agree with your technicality, but Sharia has detailed and specific laws on society and governing and that (I least to me) makes it political.

It breaks my feelings to see what was a movement growing potential for actual progress become whatever the hell Rand’s doing. I suppose it, like any other label in politics, really isn’t all that descriptive of the person wielding it or their intents.

The problem is that a lot of Republicans on talk shows are calling themselves Libertarians, to avoid having to be intellectually honest with their viewers. I’m a Libertarian and I have no problem with abortions in the first trimester or the 80th. I also have no problem with some regulations, I just think the current regulations are protectionist towards large conglomerates. Oh, and I hate Rand.

Rand hated Libertarians, so I always find it odd that so many so-called Libertarians out there adore her.
Funniest definition I’ve come across for Libertarian: “an Iowa Republican who’s thinking about taking up sodomy.” That said, I think a lot of folks out there who call themselves Libertarian are actually just Libertine, and don’t really understand the difference.
Oh, and this bingo chart is weaksauce: vague, cloddish, and half of those squares say virtually the same fucking thing twice or even three times over in other ones.

I like Heinlein’s books…
I didn’t know that makes me a Nazi.

“Starship Troopers” (the book, not the stupid movie) and “Job: A Comedy of Justice”, were both out-fucking-standing.

Check out Stranger in a Strange Land also. Little bit longer of a read but just as good as those two.

Ditto “The Moon is a Harsh Mistress”, which may be his most overtly Libertarian…still, a good book.

My results:
