which one? the art looks soooo familiar, I just can place it.
BTW, this is absolutely true. Inner beauty can make the fugliest girl solid gold.

*can’t place it

The Twits. The woman pictured at top is the female one, whatever her name is.

All Roald Dahl Books use this art style.

I don’t think he missed the point at all.

What about an ugly person with ugly thoughts? Is it possible to underflow the value and cycle to maximum?
May 10, 2010 at 4:15 am
Beauty with wonderful thoughts blow the top off of all sets of standard deviations. To wit: Princess Diana.

Princess Diana was not beautiful in appearance. Very average looking.
She did some good deeds but still not a knock out.
May 10, 2010 at 10:14 am
She also wasn’t actually all that much of a saint until she died either, then she was suddenly virtuous. Her (many?) affairs while still married were forgotten soon after she forgot to put on her seatbelt.
The day before she died the media were able to speculate as to whether she’d been cheating on Charles since before Harry was born, or only for the last decade of their marriage, and had only married him for the money and position NOw, of course, she’s Blessed Mother Diana, the virgin Queen of all that is good and holy and CHarles is a demon in a thin disguise.

I sense some real royal attrition here…
May 11, 2010 at 11:07 am
I just hate hypocrisy and injustice. Read the private eye issue the week she died, detail the hypocrisy nicely. Charles is a decent bloke who’s been attacked pretty mercilessly by the tabloids for doing basically nothing more than being a royal by accident of birth, and then marrying a girl he couldn’t satisfy.

Try aiming that laser of righteous indignaton you’ve got mounted in your brainpan at targets than you can actually affect, and not at celebrity bullshit you read about in the fucking Sun.
May 11, 2010 at 11:52 pm
It’s not rightous indignation, it’s just telling it how it is.
Besides, I can have an effect, I can mock people who parrot the redtops and occasionally, just occassionally, one will think for himself instead of accepting what they heard.
BTW, if you knew anything about UK papers you’d know it’s the Express that’s mad about Diana and leading the charge against Charles, the Sun likes the royals on the whole including Charles particularly.

Redtops?
May 12, 2010 at 2:33 am
I’m gonna assume he means gingers.
May 13, 2010 at 12:32 am
The cheaper rags that pass themselves off as newspapers when they’re actually just the populist and often bigotted ranting of second-rate hacks and egomaniacs. They tend to have the title in red at the top of the front page, hence “redtops”.
Although there is quite some scope for introducing the topic of ginger offspring into the debate about Diana’s saintliness (or lack of it).
