Because it just tickled my funny bone. I can’t quite explain it. No offense of course to you if you have a very dear and loved pet. I guess it was just funny because of the sincerity. I would like to think I would never get that serious, yet if Cornelius (my plant) disappeared, I would be pretty fucked up about it. I’m laughing at their emotion, which is never a good thing. Sadism, on a miniscule (I know a butchered that word) level.

At least I think it’s funny. I also think telling people, “He who is without sin may cast the first stone.” to distract them from me throwing rocks first is hilarious.

I enjoy that, yet it is not for me. My best friend does and will forever do that, and I completely adore the hilarity of it.
