The crunchy part I wouldn’t mind so much. It’s the mouth full of glass and plastic that i won’t appreciate.

The whole energy saving light bulb was such a bullshit. I have burn off 2 of them in my bathroom the pass 5 month. After some research, it turn out, the energy saving light bolt, which they claim to have long lasting use life only work when minimal on/off switch. So in order to prolong this kind of light bulb, you have to leave it on at all time. Which part of that save energy again? Fuck you Al Gore, you owe me 8 bucks.

Perhaps you had a bad batch. Or got the wrong kind. I have these in almost every light I own. Have had them for years. They get turned off and on many, many times a day, and have yet to have to replace any of them.

Some have lasted, but the outdoor floodlights were constantly failing. I just gave up buying them and went back to regular lights.

That is interesting. Do you use them indoors as well? And if so, do the indoor ones fail as frequently as the outdoor ones?

The indoor ones are fine. They’ve lasted a few years now, w/ no replacements needed.

Hmm… Don’t think I use them outdoors… May be they don’t like that. I’ll have to try them just to see.
