dont forget the butthurt. that’s a big part of Atheism
April 21, 2010 at 3:13 pm
technically I think that’s a part of Catholicism
April 23, 2010 at 9:09 am
i lol’d
April 23, 2010 at 3:28 pm
at least that’s SOMETHING we can prove
April 25, 2010 at 11:59 pm
LOL… Ironically true…
And this does primarily describe Catholicism…
April 25, 2010 at 10:03 pm
That Christinaity is a load of bull, and that every other silly fable grown out of control is, too.
April 25, 2010 at 10:08 pm
Agnosticism = the only logical choice.
April 25, 2010 at 10:43 pm
Agnostic theism or agnostic atheism?
April 26, 2010 at 12:56 am
Agnostics: When you’re too lazy to make a choice
April 26, 2010 at 3:41 am
Atheism and Theism: When you are so damn conceited that you claim that something does not exist or does exist without providing reasonable physical or philosophical evidence.
April 26, 2010 at 4:30 am
The really funny thing is that both atheists/antitheists and theists have one thing common. The bible…
April 26, 2010 at 9:14 am
I don’t believe in the Hindu pantheon either, so better add the veda to that.
April 26, 2010 at 12:14 pm
What? How does my non-belief in any god have to do w/ the bible?
April 26, 2010 at 12:30 pm
Damn it, I do have to learn english some time. Fuck.
What meant is that they both argue using passages from the bible. Atheists/antitheists (dunno the difference) trying to dispute them, and theists trying to prove that god exists.
April 26, 2010 at 12:42 pm
What *I* meant… Jesus Christ that’s your punishment? Illiteracy?
April 26, 2010 at 10:11 pm
There ya go…proof.
April 26, 2010 at 6:27 am
The base assumption is that something doesn’t exist. You have to prove something EXISTS, not that it doesn’t.
Want me to prove god doesn’t exist? Fine: no one’s ever seen him, no one has a picture, no one can find him.
What? You say he’s intangible and invisible? Well, then I can say that I’ve got a million intangible, invisible bucks in my pocket and you got a million intangible, invisible dicks up your ass. Go ahead, disprove me.
April 26, 2010 at 9:35 am
MUST THUMBS UP THIS POST MOAR! I don’t think I could have explained the reasoning behind my own thinking as well as you have here sir.
April 26, 2010 at 9:57 am
That base assumption is only true in scientific reason. In sociological reasoning, there is no base assumption. The idea that atheism is somehow more pure than agnosticism is an opinion, not a base assumption.
April 26, 2010 at 12:07 pm
This is actually flawed reasoning. Scientifically speaking we cannot assume either the existence or the absence of anything without some form of empirical test.
Regardless of whether we assume scientific or sociological reasoning, To start off assuming something doesn’t exist is deeply unscientific.
One of my favorite vids. It was intended as satire, but actually does an good job of explaining it…

April 26, 2010 at 12:00 pm
Very well said, though I would not necessarily describe is conceit, as much as a very human need to either be able to maintain some perception of control or some way of explaining why we exist…
April 26, 2010 at 6:23 am
Agnostics are even sillier than christians. At least christians try to rationalize their crazy imaginary friends.
April 25, 2010 at 10:21 pm
Apathy = the only logical choice
don’t know, don’t care
April 26, 2010 at 9:56 am
oh, you meant idoncareism, I suppose?
April 26, 2010 at 9:47 pm
It wasn’t until I copy-pasta’d idoncareism to Dictionary.com before I realized I was a total derp.
April 25, 2010 at 10:55 pm
But remember, Agnostics believe truth (any truth, of any kind) cannot be known. Its not as simple as saying “I dont know” its saying “I do not possess within me the ability to logically prove anything at all as pertaining to the experiences of my life and the world around me) Please do know the difference.
April 25, 2010 at 11:45 pm
I’m a christian and I think that’s a big pile of bullshit too. Glad that does nothing to explain what I believe.
Oversimplification for the sake of humor is usually just a sign of ignorance.
April 26, 2010 at 12:01 am
i grew up in a roman catholic household so I know all the stories and the beliefs, I just shook them off when I started to grow up like I did with stories of Santa or the Easter Bunny. People can believe whatever they won’t, just don’t be assholes about it
April 26, 2010 at 12:33 am
Word…
April 26, 2010 at 1:26 am
It’s not a case of being assholes, it’s a case of pointing out what a massive crock of shit religion of any kind is. Catholics aren’t special, neither are buddhists, scientologists, Nazis, or whatever you want to call you/them.
April 26, 2010 at 1:48 am
people can believe what they want. If someone wants to be catholic or buddist or pagan or whatever, they can. If someone wants to believe that all religious people think that they’re special and that all religeons are crocks of bullshit, they can.
just don’t be an asshole about and compare most of the human race including friends, family and neighbors to Nazis. Its putting yourself as no better than a religious zealot by spreading hate on those different than yourself
April 26, 2010 at 2:33 am
Couldn’t have said it better myself.
April 26, 2010 at 7:19 am
The problem is it doesn’t stop there, evar…
Religion is a tool of control over a population…
For better or worse, when you’re outside of this control, they come for you.
I’m not for this “Christian Nation” thing either, but if any other religion ever has more control over your Government, they will not hesitate to change things around.
It’s a complex issue, but as long as you separate Church and State we can all get along fine.
April 26, 2010 at 10:01 am
Meh. Anything with politics is a bunch of assholes.
But I agree
April 26, 2010 at 12:17 pm
I agree with gx5000. Religion is a double edged sword. Yes, it has been used to great effect, to control the population, however the same thing could be said about schools. We send out children to school to learn what we want them to learn. That, at it’s most basic level, is simply an institutionalized form or indoctrination, much like religion. We allow it because we believe that what they are taught there will be good for both them and the culture within which we live, even though even this is not necessarily true.
Most religions began the same way. It was a way of teaching cultural and life lessons using metaphor and stories, as well as a way to deter people from doing culturally “bad” things. In this regard, it was actually an effective good tool. However, it has been heinously abused, and used to push independent agendas, so much so that it’s original purpose has been corrupted.
@Borandi,
No, no religion is much different from any other, we were specifically talking about Catholicism here because the statements of the OP are based primarily on Catholic beliefs.
April 26, 2010 at 1:20 am
Some of us Christians weren’t lied to about Santa, the Easter bunny, or roots of any pagan holiday… maybe Christianity wouldn’t look so bad if the modern day idiots didn’t come up with that, or boners for little boys.
April 26, 2010 at 1:39 am
YESHHH, it all makes sense now! Pagan Santa and his minion the easter bunny. I hardly think of Santa or the Easter bunny as a lie. They’re like the tooth fairy, or any other children’s tale. Its not a malicious lie or anything, its just a story for little kids to enjoy. On the other hand, i agree that fucking kids is bad, mmmkay?
Its comments like this that make Christianity look bad. Being angry, pointing fingers, throwing insults, and trying to make others look bad. I said nothing bad about your religion and yet you referenced the things I said in foul spirit.
Reactions and comments like this, sir are the reason I have a difficult time respecting Christians and their beliefs.
April 26, 2010 at 4:06 am
I don’t see what is so bad about his comment. He’s just angry that
Well sometimes it is hard not to be angry. I mean christians get stereotyped just as bad as atheists. You wouldn’t believe how many times i’ve had to explain that i am not republican, not a young earther, believed strongly in seperation of church and state, support gay marriage. It’s maddening. It’s like when a christian automatically assumes that an atheist is pissed off at god for not answering a prayer or that they have no real source to base morals off of. Now obviously you and i both know that is all bullshit, but disinformation from both camps has undoubtedly stunted progress in coming to a mutual respect and understanding. A lot of us would like to build bridges between our respective schools of thoughts. But forces on both sides are making it difficult.
April 26, 2010 at 4:07 am
Christ i need to stop posting while wacked out on bennadryl.
April 26, 2010 at 4:13 am
use your talking words next time lotti
tehee :p
April 26, 2010 at 12:21 pm
I agree, I think this is the real problem, not really what people decide to believe or not believe, but rather that the ignorant stereotyping, intolerance and prejudice on both sides have overpowered any ability for rational, tolerant and productive thought.
April 26, 2010 at 3:11 pm
Comments like mine make Christianity look bad? Comments like mine make you have a hard time respecting Christians? I think you missed something. Im a Christian, pointing a finger at moron Christians. There are a lot of them, and its fun. They have come up with so many of these “stories” for little kids to enjoy as you say that they don’t really understand what they believe. You see what I’m getting at. Im pointing out things many christians have fucked up. Any parents telling there kids Santa has anything to do with religion, is teaching paganism. Its really no suprise to me that many of them grow up to agnostic or atheist views. Correct? yes.
April 26, 2010 at 1:34 am
Fuck you I am worshipping this here tree.
April 26, 2010 at 3:17 am
FUCK YOU! I’m going to worship a different version of this tree!
And that’s the difference between Islam, Christianity, and Judaism. Same god, different ways of worshiping the same fucking thing based off the same retarded stories. Yay, Zoroastrianism. Thank you so much for monotheism because sacrificing a virgin was soooooooo fucking hard.
April 26, 2010 at 4:04 am
FUCK YOU
I’m going to chop your sad little tree down with an axe to make fliers reminding everyone to recycle
April 26, 2010 at 4:32 am
FUCK YOU.
April 26, 2010 at 3:38 am
I’ll stick with dodekatheism. At least my strongest god, Zeus, farts thunders from his arse.
April 26, 2010 at 6:29 am
THOR IS THE ONLY TRUE THUNDER GOD!
MY GOD HAS A HAMMER!
April 26, 2010 at 6:53 am
Dude, my god becomes a duck just to fuck…
And he also fucks men without hesitation (Ganymede for example).
You see where this is going right? Yup my god will butt-fuck your god and he will enjoy it!
April 26, 2010 at 7:55 am
The hammer is his penis.
April 26, 2010 at 9:29 am
Fuck your trees, I choose to worship titties! Wanna convert?
April 26, 2010 at 10:00 am
ITT: tolerant atheist vs butthurt christians.
Or… opposite? Whatever.
April 26, 2010 at 12:23 pm
LOL… I’ve seen both versions of both sides, many, many times… It’s just not a good look for anyone…
April 27, 2010 at 10:41 am
The only thing worse than a preachy theist is a preachy atheist.
April 27, 2010 at 8:48 pm
very true.
