Its a Native Event, Im from Alaska, probably no care for it, I posted it to basically share my Eskimo Culture with people who know very little about Alaska
April 16, 2010 at 11:20 am
looks moar like a basketball player trying to kick a net.
April 16, 2010 at 12:44 pm
The basketball hoop is the only thing high enough for the ball to be tired to, for me to be able to get my maximum height.
April 12, 2010 at 4:31 pm
I forgot to mention that this is called the one foot high kick, sorry about that
April 16, 2010 at 11:18 am
Your not making any sense. I think all that cool is getting to your heads.
April 16, 2010 at 12:51 pm
Everyone that has posted on the picture, is not from Alaska, so I will tell tell again. This is an Alaska Native Event its a sport done in Alaska, this along with several other events. They used to be done by our ancestors for training, or demonstrating they have the necessary skills for hunting. This event in particular was to demonstrate a successful or unsuccessful hunt, and no I’m not showing off, im trying to share my culture, when the representatives of the other evenvts return from the school trips I will, be able to get pictures of them doing their sports, but that wont be for a bit.
April 16, 2010 at 1:34 pm
I still have no idea what the hell the picture is.
April 16, 2010 at 1:39 pm
Its a picture of me kicking a ball that is approximately at 100 inches,
April 15, 2010 at 12:04 am
WUT?
April 16, 2010 at 11:19 am
Don’t mind him. Alaskans don’t know English or Geography very well.
April 16, 2010 at 11:38 am
Sarah Palin proved that.
April 16, 2010 at 12:32 pm
Please don’t compare me, an Alaska Native, to that white trash bitch, it would be greatly appreciated.
April 16, 2010 at 6:07 pm
It was tongue-in-cheek… I have infinitely more respect for Alaskan natives and the other regular rugged Alaskan individuals than I do for that cam-whore cunt.
April 16, 2010 at 6:22 pm
I respect you
April 16, 2010 at 12:31 pm
Im not very good at english, yes.
But I ask that you don’t group me with other Alaskans, we are all not the same. I would greatly appreciate it.
April 16, 2010 at 12:32 pm
Only if you don’t group me with other white people and it’s a deal…Maybe.
April 16, 2010 at 12:53 pm
I don’t group other races, I only group people that are assholes to other assholes, or whiney bitchs to other whiney bitches, never races to race. I was raised on respect, so I give to you my respect so long as in return I get the same.
April 16, 2010 at 6:23 pm

April 17, 2010 at 2:19 am

April 16, 2010 at 12:49 pm
Well you could have provided a link to this ancient native sport that happens to take place in a modern day basketball arena.
April 16, 2010 at 12:57 pm
That is what question are for my friend, ask and you shall receive, well for the most part not everything can be answered, though you will get an answer.
This link shows the Junior High, and High School portion of it.

It takes place in the smaller communities because we find it pointless to spend money, and take up space, on something that can hold the ball when we have the basketball hoop, up where the bigger tournament is held, the have devices that were made specifically for the height, and are made in numbers, because there is at least 50 contestants per event
April 16, 2010 at 1:16 pm
Um, dude, I think that’s basketball. They were probably just conning you.
April 16, 2010 at 1:18 pm
Its not basketball. Go to that link, it is a basketball court, but it is not basketball, I am not a basketball player.
April 16, 2010 at 1:26 pm
the native event is slam dunking?
April 16, 2010 at 1:34 pm
Its called one foot High kick. the object is to jump and kick a ball at a set height, sounds easy, well its not, I had done demonstrations to non- natives, of my community, most of them were exceptionally good basketball players, who could dunk, but were unable to do this what would seem to be a simple task, most managed to kick it at about 60 inches.
April 16, 2010 at 2:51 pm
This would have been a good thing to put under the picture.
April 16, 2010 at 4:14 pm
For that I apologize.
April 16, 2010 at 7:05 pm
i thought women werent allowed to dunk
April 17, 2010 at 2:13 am
Hey, i would appreciate it if you kept your little 9 year old jokes out of the this, there pointless
April 17, 2010 at 8:09 am
You haven’t READ any other picture comments on MyConfinedSpace, now have you?
I’d appreciate it if you’d stay away from my internets.
April 16, 2010 at 1:47 pm
So a native Alaskan event is to go “Teen Wolf?” And people thing we’re weird here.
April 16, 2010 at 2:10 pm
Thanks for posting something of your culture, dude. The problem is that it’s a blurry picture and there was no context for what exactly you were doing there — neither the ball nor the foot were evident on first viewing, so it just looked like basketball.
And don’t mind these guys. The internet has it’s own culture, complete with its own strange sense of humor. It’s an odd category of native humor called “memes.” And acting like jackasses on comment threads is the standard, sincerity is not. Though truthfully, M[c]S has some of the more civil discussion in these here parts of the web…
April 16, 2010 at 2:14 pm
Thank you, I am in the process of getting a better camera for the shots, the thing is, that the camera i have takes the shots to slowly, and I am moving to fast for it to render the shots visibly, i should be able to get another shot up here in the next few days, I apologize for the low quality of the shot.
April 16, 2010 at 2:54 pm
Seriously, what Austin said. I too think it’s great for posting things that most of us have no exposure to. And it is nice for folks to share.
But this is the internet, and really, folks shouldn’t dive right in and bare everything to the world. A lot of innocent folks have become infamous by doing this. Try not to take things too serious on the net, and God forbid, don’t get trolled. Kick back, take things in before bearing it all to the thing called the “internet hate machine”. The net is a wonderful big place, but it’s also a thing so vile you can’t even imagine.
April 16, 2010 at 3:16 pm
sorry, this is the meme
April 16, 2010 at 3:39 pm
TY
Now I know…
April 16, 2010 at 2:11 pm
no. thats not it. Its a sport much like all the other sports in existence, The sport is called Native Youth Olympics.
April 16, 2010 at 3:20 pm
pffftt
April 16, 2010 at 4:27 pm
I would like for you to try doing the physical conditioning portion of it.
April 16, 2010 at 6:40 pm
I ain’t questioning the set of skills involved.
It’s the absurdity of the name “Native Youth Olympics”.
Soon there’s gonna be an “Asian Neighborhood Olympics”.
April 17, 2010 at 2:15 am
Its called that because its for high school, then there is World Eskimo Indian Olympics, so please be somewhat respectful.
April 17, 2010 at 8:06 am
No. Fuck you.
Some people vote for equality. Everyone gets laughed at the same way in my book. I’m gonna bring MY Eskimo Indian Hindu Chicano Peruvian Team and tie you to the hoop kick YOUR ASS OVER IT!
IT’S ON!
April 18, 2010 at 2:09 am
Alrighty then, want my Address? I’ll be waiting.
April 18, 2010 at 2:37 am
*sigh*
April 17, 2010 at 10:14 pm
Hi and welcome.
Respect? Here? Not gonna happen. Prolly never will, not for you.
April 16, 2010 at 2:27 pm
I will be able to get pictures of better quality (hopefully), and the other events this coming monday.
April 16, 2010 at 2:43 pm
I get it. The ball is 8+ feet in the air, tied to the bottom of then net, and the objective is to kick the fuck out of it. Pretty impressive, since that means it’s two feet over my head.
April 16, 2010 at 3:51 pm
And to think, almost 50 comments and not one sign of casemods.
April 16, 2010 at 6:24 pm
