Such uniformity. Is that the only style of car that they sell there?

What a bunch of shitty cars.

Pretty sure it’s Poland, actually.

Maybe I’m just being an ignorant Yankee but I don’t really understand the whole boot thing.
So, you slap a boot on a car & not only do you have to wait for that person to pay you but you also lose possible revenue from that spot until that car is claimed?
Around here, we just tow your ass and charge you $220 to get it released from the impound yard. Even if you get to your car in time but the tow truck already have it raised, it’s still like $50 to get it down.
That’s a lesson you only learn once, too bad it was one I had to learn during college where I didn’t even have money for dinner to spare…

You do realize that us Americans also use a car boot right?
April 14, 2010 at 1:59 pm
i thought that’s why it’s called the “Denver Boot”

I live in So. Cali & I’ve never seen a boot on a car. Tow trucks circle like vultures around here though.
I have seen one boot on a car in NYC though, or was that Homer Simpson’s car in that episode where he went to New York….damn, can’t delineate between what I’ve seen on TV or in real life anymore.
Shit.

I really think if an analysis is done, it will show the boot as a strong revenue method.
April 14, 2010 at 2:11 pm
I’d rather have a boot than get towed by the fucking bastards where I live. Fuckers will wreck your car in the process of towing.
April 14, 2010 at 2:24 pm
Agreed. I’ve seen some fucked up shit happen to cars from Tow Trucks. Especially where I went to college where they would tow a lowered car…sparks flying everywhere from the exhaust or bumpers getting ripped to pieces.

car boots have sense: those fucking parasites known as tow truck drivers must get a real job, while administration reaches the goal – YOU CANNOT PARK HERE, IDIOT
they also charge you about the same ticket, but that money goes straight in the public economy (obligatory DIRTY COMMUNISTS!)

lol
April 14, 2010 at 9:08 pm
So what keeps these people from taking a saw and cutting off the boot?
April 14, 2010 at 9:43 pm
They’re numbered and the tag has been recorded. If you damage the boot trying to take it off, add $300 to your bill.

My car got booted and towed in NYC (at a municipal parking lot) for scofflaw. Cost me a few hundred in parking tickets plus $100+ for the tow and storage. I haven’t seen a booted vehicle in either Maryland or West Virginia ever. I think it’s mostly large cities w/ an extreme available parking problem.
