    1. How do I get arms like Eliza? Is simple cardio gonna get me there eventually or do I have to lift weights. This is probably a silly question.

        • Oh you’re right, I forgot about that. I attempted to do it that way once but gave up because it was so pathetic, I could do only one at a time and then I was ready to die. Just to give you an idea of how weak I am, I’ve been lifting my Dostoyevsky book and the next day when I was going to pick up a water bottle my arm hurt really bad. Anyway I’ll try it once more and just stick with it this time.

          • Do them one at a time at first. I need to start this again myself. Just do one, if that is all you can do, then do something else, then do another, and keep going back to it. Eventually you will do like 5000 at once.

            Also, I would gladly stand in your living room, but I do not look like that man. No … no I do not.

          • just do them on your knees, and if you can only do one of those, do them on an incline. repetitions are good, and feel good 🙂

          • omg, do NOT do knee pushups unless you are a total fuckwad. RSI is correct. do like 1 set of 1 pushup. then tomorrow do 2 sets. then 3. when you can do 3 sets, then increase to 3 sets of 2 pushups. push yourself a bit, and within a couple of weeks you will be doing 5 sets of 10 and camwhoring your sexy arms for us.

            • Sorry I was doin stuffs.

              You need to work your tris isolated. You can do push ups to hit them a bit by having your elbows closer in and a narrower stance but its not as effective. Push ups are more for chest and really only good for burning the muscle out as your last chest exercise of the day.

              What you’re after is that V on your arm and that comes from things like seated tricep extensions or pull downs on cables. Its good to start now before you even notice a problem because most women eventually wake up one day and look at the back of their arm for the first time because it looks like a turkey neck. So take preventative measures and start on them now.

              For the top you want to do lateral raises. Shoulders are hard to work because they’re built for mobility and no for pushing weight. That makes them the easiest part of your body to damage. Lateral raises are good but no overhead movements. The Arnold Press is actually pretty bad for your rotator cuffs long term.

              For the biceps just work your back and you’ll get biceps like hers because all the movements for the exercises require you to use your arms.

              Also note that she’s clearly pulling back a bit there and slightly flexed. She’s sporting a semi in a way. Her arms aren’t like that all the time.

              Yes exactly, I want the V, I know her arms don’t normally look like this, that’s precisely how I want it to be. Stronger but only really visible when I’m doing something with my arms.
              So let me decipher your muscle talk for a moment, I appreciate it but I’m gonna need equipment for all the things you listed or no? If no then explain how I can do these things without it, if yes then I have a problem. I actually live right next to a gym but it’s really unpleasant and they play techno music all day so I never ever use it. I can also see people with tribal tattoos from my kitchen window working out in there. Recently they busted the owner and a group of people for using steroids but they didn’t close it for some reason.

              If any of it has any effect I’ll take casemophotos for sure.

              Oh and I hope my cardio assumption didn’t sound too stupid, but it has been my observation that some of the very athletic people I know have arms like that and all they do is cardio.

            • np. cardio is best after you hit weights for 30 mins +. You use the glutamine etc in your body on the weights and then when you go to the treadmill you’ve got pretty much nothing left to burn but fat. It won’t build muscle but it will help the muscle you build show more. Think of it as when you’re on the weights your building from the inside out and when you run or whatever you do to get your heart rate up you’re shaving the fat down that’s covering what you’re building.

              You would need equipment for what I was describing. I’ve heard people saying they did it all at home too but no they did not. There is a reason gyms are everywhere and if you live next to one then just throw on some headphones to cancel out the techno and join up. There are fagays and tribal tattoos all over every gym. They usually seem to just talk to each other. Thats been my experience anyway.

              Don’t worry about immediate results either. In fact I’d say find a reason all your own to go and make it part of your daily routine. Then one day someone will say ‘wow you look great’ and you’ll look in the mirror and go ‘wow…you’re right’. It could be a month or 6 months or a year. Worst case scenario is it takes longer but you’re still way healthier.

            • Ah that makes sense. It’s just like with those people who want a sixpack so they do only situps instead of adding cardio which would remove the fat so the muscles become visible, right. Took me a while until I figured that one out.

              That’s too bad, I was hoping I could pull a Sarah Conner and just do it all in my bedroom. Or maybe if there was something I could invest some money in and use that.

              Patience is not a problem, I just want to make sure that I’m doing it the right way and there’s nobody I could ask. I’ve already read a couple books to figure some other things out but I didn’t know that it’s better to do weight training before cardio, I’ll do it that way from now on. Also I don’t know how important this is but you mentioned getting your heart rate up. I faint a lot less than I used to but my blood pressure is still too low. I measure it every time before and after cardio and it’s always the same. About 96 before, and after 50 minutes of exhausting cardio it barely reaches 110. Pulse is normal though.

      I’m doing P90X right now. I’ll camwhore my arms when I’m done. I need heavier weights though. Started with 8lbs. Moved to 15 within the first week, and they are still too light.
