Modern physics has postulated plenty of stuff along these lines but modern neuroscience is mostly like: When you are angry so and so gland releases so and so chemical, when you look at porn so and so part of the brain releases so and so chemical. Modern neuroscience is basically in an infant phase and has done nothing to explain conscience or memory. It will be decades or centuries before neuroscientists can make these kind of claims.
I have little doubt that those explanations will be realised someday but this kind of garbage (‘I’m a brave crusader of sciences I know nothing about!!’) just plays into the hands of the creationists.
