Clearly we are not being gracious winners.
Of course you can hardly be surprised when there are so many douches in both countries.
Good game USA we will see you again a hundred times at least before I die.

Whatever. We brought the most dedicatedly Hockey loving nation to a standstill such that a lucky shot in overtime decided it. No shame in being beaten by a master.

Lucky shot? We gave Crosby that damn goal. I enjoyed the game, even with USA losing, but USA screwed up in the OT. I am glad they got that far.

USA still beat Canada after half a decade and in doing so made all of Canada feel really fucking depressed during their own Olympics. USA also made Canada earn that medal whilst everyone thought USA wouldn’t be a contender.
USA and Canada both looked dead in that overtime period. Both teams needed to play with more urgency. Crosby’s goal was a gimme. Making a very anti climactic ending to an epic game of hockey.

Also have you seen the total medal counts Canada? NOT YOURS!
March 2, 2010 at 2:24 am
I don’t think anyone thought the USA wouldn’t be a contender. They have the best goaltender in the NHL and an incredibly young and fast team.
Also, am I the only one who thinks double medalling in a single event is retarded? I know we (Canada) did it at least once, but the USA got 6 medals in 3 events on one of the earlier days, and I really can’t see how you justify that kind of scoring.
And we still posted a record gold medal count.

Cheers to Canada’s hockey gold. Now act like you’ve been there before.
What’s wrong with double medaling? Two of the three best athletes in the world from the same country.
What, you want one of them to give up their medal to a slower or less talented competitor? I think not.
Have some cheese with your whine eh!
I heard the local liquor stores were closed early Sunday for fear of alcohol fueled mayhem. Canada can at least be proud of hosting the drunkest Olympics.

How bad this would be depends on whether you speak of American or classic.
