It’s a type of mushroom that is really common in Chinese food and for some reason in English is called “jew ear”.
In chinese, the name is “Heimuer” which means “black tree ear”. This is a pretty good example of dictionary english which is the chinese equivalent of chinese tattoos in the west: meant just to look cool and they don’t give a shit how good or bad the english is.
