Man you don’t know how depressed I’ve been feeling. Hockey was the only olympic sport they didn’t play over here. Growing up in Canada every guy I know was glue to the TV during the winter olympics, watching hockey.
I don’t think I’ve ever felt so homesick.

Team USA beat Canada for the first time in half a decade. Even though we didn’t get the gold I can still hold that over your heads.

Shit I’ve been rooting for the Montreal, Ohio Canadiens all this time? Two of the original six are Canadian, and a Canadian team won the tournament for over 20 years before an American won a single stanley cup (or equivalent).

Please remember that this is only the Winter Olympics. If you total the medals for each country from the past Summer Olympics and these Winter Olympics, the totals are 147 medals for the USA (45 Gold) and 44 medals for Canada (17 Gold.) Not. Even. Close.

Come come. It was an awesome game. I’m a Canadian but I was thrilled when the Yanks tied it up. It was exactly as exciting as an Olympic gold medal game was supposed to be.
