Obama needs to grow some balls and knock some heads. He has a solid majority, but won’t make any moves for party unity. Tell Lieberman that he won’t get any DNC money for his next run and no committee chairmansips and Lieberman will step in line, but Obama is fine with being stabbed in the back.
Yes, he has been better than Bush, but seriously, thats a low bar. The stimulus was too full of tax breaks, which don’t stimulate the economy, and still had no republican support. The health care reform bill is a huge piece of shit, all to get maybe one republican vote, but it won’t. No movement on DADT or DOMA, but maybe next year. Compromises mean you get something in return. Once it becomes clear that the other side won’t work with you, quit trying to compromise with them and do it without them.

It’s frustrating. I think the same, but that’s just not the way the Dems work. The Repubs have always been more monolithic in their support of each other and against the dems. It’s what makes the Dems a very different party, and they still don’t know how to effectively counter the Repubs.
