you’re correct, you do not put your finger on the trigger until you’re going to shoot something. I believe the OP was being sarcastic, but it’s hard to tell when they don’t use the sarcasm symbol.

she can weld, uses tools, loves fire and blowing stuff up. That is not my inner nerd, that is my outer caveman she appeals to. As for trigger discipline, yeah, fail. Even though I see no caps on that cylinder, she does have the hammer back, and dry-firing a cap n ball is murder on the nipples.
