      My relief is that, around 2011 that the last of these anti-movies is out, everyone will slowly realize how really utterly crappy this whole thing was. Not the movies nor the books, but the whole concept of effeminate pseudo-vampires that FUCKING sparkle (really, how the fuck did we let this happen? were we too stoned to realize what was going on?). The teen girls that read this book will mature and will read real books and realize how poorly written the books were. More importantly, they will realize how fucking sick the author is. And everyone who read the books or wathced the movies will pretend that this didn’t happened. They will put it away in the shameful corners of their mind.
      This whole series of books and films will never be as epically awesome as the Lord of the Rings, or even Narnia. And the fans know it.
      It will slowly die away, and everyone will forget.
      Hopefully, in 40 years our sons will find how fucking shitty it was and they will watch it the same way that we watch “Manos”.

    The Twilight series would have been good in the hands of an author that had some decent writing skill. Few tweaks in personalities and such would have gone a long way. :p The movies…ugh.

      Some of the characters are actually likeable. Alice is awesome. And Jacob is a fucking werewolf, man, a werewolf that builds cars out of scrap.

      I want a movie about Alice and Jacob, getting up to no good at Mardi Gras.

    Since Manos: Hands of Fate and Plan 9 From Outer Space are being thrown around, I’d be amiss if I didn’t tell everyone that THIS movie has been spoofed from the same people who did Mystery Science Theater 3000. They’re now called Rifftrax. I’m actually considering getting the Twilight Rifftrax. In fact, if you went to their Christmas Shorts extravagansa a couple weeks ago, they sent you a song from their group The Rifftones called “Sparkly Vampires”. Definitely worth a look.
