You do realize that if you buy anything made in China, than you are contributing to that waste. Inexpensive products are inexpensive because they are made in countries with no environmental regulations. Say you buy a gadget made in China for $20, and for each gadget, 5 gallons of toxic waste is dumped into the river. The American counterpart of that product costs $40, because it costs the manufacturer $20 to dispose of the waste in an environmentally sound manner. The true cost of the product is $40, either you pay that amount, or the river in China makes up the difference.
