The first photo is incredibly gorgeous. And you can see only one person in the other photo, so what is it like. Can one walk around normally, or would they suffocate and die in their own saliva and urine.

I wonder if silence comes with the obscurity. It’d be incredibly eerie and amazing to walk around a quiet, dust-clouded city.

It’s not quiet, unfortunately. However, you can walk around fairly normally if you’re ok with breathing in a little dust.
You don’t die, but you make a lot of phlegm.
Also, it is eerily gorgeous. It came on in pretty much a flat wave, first no dust. Then dust.

Yeah that sounds like it’s worth it. When you see photos like this of natural phenomena that you yourself have never witnessed, people who have, usually say it’s not as impressive as it is made out to be. So this is very intriguing, gotta go to Australia man. Soon.
Also I would just wear a giant see-through helmet over my head.
