Life under the criminal rule of the worthless One-Termer. Go figure. MITT ROMEY in 2012! He will save us from this uppity One-Termer. FACT!
September 14, 2009 at 9:16 am
I don’t even know how to respond to that…
FACT: Republican choices look as bleak for 2012 as they did for 2008. Pity.

uppity?
I’m sorry, but did you even think about how that sounds? (hint, google Jim Crow and ‘uppity niggro/ger’).
Even if you were trying to have a reasoned debate rather than calling the president a criminal, people would have turned off their ears once that little bit left your lips.

I see you a democratic candidate of both African and American descent and raise you a Republican of Indian descent with an American name, Bobby Jindal perhaps?
September 14, 2009 at 12:21 pm
Jindal was effectively laughed off the national stage after his rebuttal to the State of the Union address. The bench of potential Republican candidates is not deep and is getting worse with every sex scandal they have.

So true, but it doesn’t even matter what he looks like. If you give a speech that mocks the government for spending money on volcano monitoring, and a volcano erupts that same week… it’s definitely a sign from whatever god you worship that it’s time to stfu!

Comparing defense spending with Social Security and Medicare spending is apple and oranges. Congress and the President don’t decide how much to spend on mandatory spending, that’s the point. So saying Obama spending more or less on Social Security than Bush is ridiculous since neither man had any say in how much was spent on mandatory programs.
September 14, 2009 at 12:40 pm
Additionally, 2009 ain’t over bitches! Let’s at least wait until the year is over before we compare spending.
September 14, 2009 at 5:53 pm
Well, the pie chart that tracked only discretionary spending was ridiculed when it was posted for leaving this information out, so I suppose having it posted both ways in the course of about a week is relatively balanced (although They ought to be posted together in one thread).
You’re right that both presidents have no control over that spending. If that was all we were doing, then this would be an inappropriate graphic.

Isn’t 2005 Medicare = 2009 Medicare+Medicaid?
