Why? There’s nothing that can be done about them (unless we are willing to renege on money already promised to people). Discretionary spending can be altered. I suppose we should discuss mandatory spending in terms of whether or not to add new kinds of mandatory spending (should we continue to increase the national debt, should we have alter healthcare this way or that, etc), but when it comes to spending we can eliminate or not, the pie chart is representative and (as near as my pie chart estimation skills can tell) is accurate. Maybe the chart doesn’t give the information YOU want to talk about, but it is valid information with a legitimate purpose. You want to talk about TOTAL spending? Find the graph for that and submit it. It won’t be hard to find.
