    Could have happened if the Russians had had the idea of getting
    a Luna moon crawler to drop a flag near where the American were to land ? They may not have been first to step on the moon, but they were the first there….

    Because I’m 90% sure whoever decided to make this image was trying to make some ill-informed comment on what they percieve to be America’s slow decline towards communism. At least, I’d assume that was the image’s goal; more than a loose commentary on what could have been historically.
