There can’t be a God, because one bug pwns another.
What sound reasoning.
Darwin isn’t saying there is no god, he’s saying he can’t reconcile the idea of a loving god who designed reality with the horrors of reality. It’s Epicurus’s Problem of Evil, but with a biological twist.
