It’s during this festival that they do the Running of the Bulls. There was one fatality this year. The first in over a decade.

  1. its a fairly worn out statement but it would be very satisfying to grab a handgun and a red hankie and shoot a bullfighter in both his kneecaps.

  2. I wonder why that when a bull is killed that the matador gets to leave with his life but when a matador is killed they just bring in another matador to take on the bull.

They need to put an end to this fucked-uppery.

  4. Any shit-head who is gored to death partaking in this idiocy deserves it.

  5. I’ve branded and vaccinated many cattle in my time for my job. I have no sympathy for bulls.
Cry me a river…million other things wrong in the world and people care about bulls?

    • I consider people who do this sort of thing on a whole different level. The only benefit of this is selfish entertainment.

People, including those who care about this, care about a lot of those things your talking about. I’m just as interested in ending the disgusting situation in Darfur or Gaza or Tibet as I am in getting rid of this kind of silly sub-human bullshit.

  6. I love this stuff.

Its awesome. Those of you who whine about it, go chain yourself to a burning tree.

Bullfighting is a very traditional practice and has lots of meaning behind it.

  7. @ ian
so if i shoot matador kneecaps while they fight bulls for a couple hundred years, it’ll be cool too?

civilized countries have laws against torturing animals.

  8. Is that Kevin Sorbo in the 3rd pic down watching someone get gored? :-)

  9. Yep. Makes me all fuzzy to know that I was named for a drunken monk who got trampled to death by herd of cattle. As for the running and the wrestling with bulls, well people pay the money to do stupid things for the ‘rush’. Skiing, snorkeling with sharks, bungee jumping also come to mind.
Bullfighting? Waste of good meat. Mankind still thrills to bloodsports, I’m not gonna pay to watch it.
