    I find the concept of Philosoraptor (, Couragewolf, and Bachelorfrog) to be hilarious, but given the fact that these pics are made by the mensa members at /b/ alot of these images fail.

    Only idiots think the “day” in Genesis meant an actual 24 hour day. That’s one of the biggest mistranslations ever. The original word meant “the amount of time needed to complete a task.”

    It’s rather like when someone asks you to come over, and you say “I’ll be there in a minute.” You don’t really mean an actual minute, you mean “the amount of time needed for me to finish whatever I’m doing.” It’s the closest you’ll come to the original word in English.

    Shut up, everyone knows that the bible is meant to be taken 100% literally. It iss completely impossible for man or god to speak in a metaphysical sense or to put multiple meanings into scripture or spoken word.

    so if the universe was created in six “days” and a “day” is the length of time it takes to complete a task, and the task that needed to be completed was creating the universe then shouldn’t the universe have been created in one “day”?

    of course, how would he know how many “days” it took at all, numbers hadn’t been created yet

    Anyways, basically you have the sunlight spectrum, and the daylight spectrum (to start off with)
