    Um; lots of Germans refused to join the Hitler youth. Granted; most of them died but….

    As to daddy being a bitter enemy? Seems to be a history re-write to me. If he was really an enemy he would have left; or he would have died for his faith. Many of Catholics and many Christians died because they would not surrender their beliefs.

    I don’t seem to remember Pope Jon Paul’s Hitler Youth Card….
