For the record, the original cartoon was pretty cheesy too! I LOVED Transformers as a kid, and still do. I even have the movie, but I must admit it’s got a very high dairy product concentration. The movie is even worse than the show with the 80’s glam rock version of the theme song. My other favorite was, GI Joe, was also shamelessly cheesy. And now you know… and knowing is half the battle!

This movie should disappoint most people that grew up watching TF’s. It’s even more of a let down than the 1st one. The 1st one at least had memorable moments that you could fast forward to but this sequel is pretty bad. Yeah there’s more than twice the robots in the 1st film but it doesn’t help because most of them are weak and seem to be there for comic release like the AutoboTwins Skids and Mudflap and then there’s Wheelie who seems to be nothing more than Jar Jar Binkstron, annoying as FUCK and serves no purpose. TF’s were my favorite growing up and I am not pleased with the misplaced and dumb humor as well as some fucktard and overrated eye candy’s bullshitty love story. So disappointed.

Two things I didn’t like about the first one:

Updated robots that were almost irrecognizable, save for some of the painting which indicated some sort of connection with the cartoon counterparts.

and

You can’t tell who’s hitting who (or who’s fighting who) whenever they fight, if you can call it that. I’ve been told (and read) this formula has not changed (actually, has increased in doses) so I am NOT in a hurry to watch this.
