Reading it now. Pretty cool series. Favorite is still Preacher though.

“Pretty cool” has got to be the understatement of the century. Distilled sugar is good though.

Death is before me today
Like the recovery of a sick man
Like going forth into a garden after sickness
Death is before me today
Like the odor of myrrh
Like sitting under a sail in a good wind
Death is before me today
Like the course of a stream
Like the return of a man from the war-galley to his house
Death is before me today
Like the home that a man longs to see
After years spent as a captive

Endless nights is the best graphic novel I’ve ever of all times bar none.

accidentally?

Hell yeah it is. Morpheus owns and I’m pretty sure I’m in love with Death.

I love the Sandman graphic novels…why is this tagged with Alcohol?
June 20, 2009 at 1:02 pm
I was wondering the same thing. But I have yet to read the stuff, so maybe it’s alcohol-related? Or Tiki is thinking about something else while posting pictures..
June 20, 2009 at 1:12 pm
No it’s not alcohol related, just accept that tag as a secret homage to distilled sugar. You can’t go wrong with secret homages, especially if it involves distilled sugar.
Come to think of it, you actually can get drunk off of The Sandman comics, oh yes you can.

Ah right, Marrock is already a Sandman alcoholic. I wish I could say the same about myself, but I don’t think you can consider my alcoholism authentic if I don’t own the comics. Yet.
Sad panda.

After seeing this I had to go dig the “Death: The High Cost of Living” series out of the box for another read.

Sandman is awesome.

I read this series for the first time last summer. It was then that I realized how incomplete my life had been to that point. Gaiman’s work with the Sandman graphic novels was phenomenal.
