Just about everyone expects this particular Inquisition. They would shoot you for spitting on the ground ten miles from some holy relic you weren’t even aware existed.
Why they always hold their guns at that ridiculous profile angle in 40k art? That must be hell on the wrists.
Because the artists have no idea what gnubns look like top-view.

the dude in red is an adeptus mechanicus priest and the mustache guy is an imperial guard commander of some sort.

Imperial servants, from left to right, an Ultramarine, an Inquisitor, an Adeptus Mechanicus representative and a Imperial Guard General. And it seems they are getting ready to put a hurtin on some filthy xenos, heretics and abominations.
Anyone play the pen and paper game? I forget what it was called, Dark Heresy or something like that… I thought it was quite awesome, but I don’t have enough nerdy friends to play it with. Few games give players the opportunity to condemn a whole planet to sterilization from orbit.
