wud be cool to make an hourglass with metal grains instead of sand. and its casing would have a slot for a strong magnet on either side. then you could have an hourglass whose sand poured out from the bottom container and up into the top. and i think that would be kind of awesome to have. would make me feel like time was moving backwards which is interesting.
