so… my neighbor used to smoke big-ass cheap as shit cigars.
he was also a hunter who made his own buckshot.
his kids and i were friends,
a pocketknife can scoop out some tobacco.
Cigars are roughly the size of a 12 gauge round.
he should have kept his black powder locked up

Would that even work?

Give it a shot.
HAW.

No.
If you could light the back of a bullet and fire it guns would be much simpler.

Ignition temperature for most primer chemicals (like KClO4) is somewhere between 350 and 500 C. Bullet casings have a high specific heat capacity, so it would take a lot of heat to get it to that point. Maybe if you held the lighter up to it for several minutes or used a crack torch.

There’s also the fact that since the casing is a fair bit lighter that the bullet itself, even if you did manage to cause an ignition, the casing would go flying off away from, while the bullet wouldn’t achieve any kind of harmful velocity.
Not to say this would be safe by any stretch of the imagination. You’re still exploding a round about three inches from your face, after all.

A firecracker instead of a bullet, however, works quite well and with hilarious results.

Light it! Don’t be a wuss!!

nothing would happen

I prefer fire crackers.
Just empty out all the tobacco with a small needle or screwdriver or something, then put the fire cracked in. Try to pack the tobacco around it too.
Leave one in a pack on the street and wait for a bum to pick it up or something.
@GrandAdmiralThrawn
It’s a (can’t think of the word) for death. The lighter is supposed to represent death when you light the bullet…or something…someone help me out.

Metaphor? Do you mean metaphor?

A small bottle rocket (minus the stick)
is about the same size as a firecracker.
That would probably be the best bet for
attempting to drive the cig or otherwise
towards the smoker lighting it.
