these are all Raphael with different weapons.
Leonardo had Blue mask and a Katana
Michaelangelo had Orange mask and Nunchucks
Donatello was Purple and had Bo staff

you know that until the child’s cartoon came around, they all had the same color masks.
Even in the comics now they have the same color mask.

the orginal TMNT comics were black and white, you could only distinquish them by their weapons, not their masks.

Ditto when they were in color…like tiki said, they all wore red masks. The kiddie version has them in assorted rainbow colors.

Eastman and Laird put a two page letter in the back of the last original B & W comic, basically saying ‘Look, you all say we sold out, but we became comic book artists to make money, and this is how we are making money’, once they sold the rights to be a kiddie cartoon. Still, the B & W series ruled, not so much the kiddie cartoons.

Haha, this new “Reply” option is going to take some getting use to I can tell. On topic though, The original comic run was actually pretty gritty and even violent. I hope if they ever decide to revamp the franchise they go back to the source material. The ‘toons were great up until puberty, but I could go for some more serious themes in my mutant amphibians.
