STD’s don’t always show up. AIDS can be dormant in someone for years and you can still pass it on without knowing it.
Sure there is safer sex, but even that won’t fully protect you.

@...casemods: Yes, before it’s AIDS, it’s called HIV. And they have tests for it. For example, Magic Johnson isn’t showing any signs/symptoms of AIDS yet, though we’ve known for 10-15 years that he had HIV.
