Kind of a bad combination, isn’t it? Sniper rifle and rocket launcher? Don’t snipers usually carry a good short-mid range weapon for non-sniping shenanigans?

@RSIxidor: Rockets make good short range weapons too. I haven’t played Halo 3 in ages, but I have always been a nutzo when it comes to strategy. The more unconventional the better I say.

That may be true, but for a sniper? I figured this was the guy that doesn’t want to draw to much attention to himself. A rocket may say “I WILL FUCKING KILL YOU” but it also says, “I only have three more shots, max.”

Sniper Rifle is the Ultimate Weapon in Halo 3 . Short Mid and Long Range,if you master it, it will be your best friend. Rocket Launchers are for people with great timing and need to escape a situation.

3 rockets = 3 kills i always use this combo
sniper + sword
sniper + rocket
Battle Rifle + Shotgun
Mauler + Spartan Laser

Any weapon is deadly in that game, combos are unnecessary. Whatever you pick up works just fine.
And this thread is the ultimate definition of nerd.

I was figuring you were talking about in real-world applications. Conjecture about weapon combinations in Halo 3 are fruitless.

@Dr.Devine: they made the game in such a way that you have to use combos which validates that you have to train which means you spend more time and money on the game which concludes what microsoft wants you to do.

say for example you snipe a couple of people right? and you know there is more than 1 person aiming/coming at you, and he likes to jump like a monkey. well you switch over to the rocket because when they jump allot you can anticipate where they’re going to fall down and then you shoot there. i use this combo for zombie mode. but in zombie i play shotgun + rocket because with shotgun i shoot them and if i run out i switch and kaboom. and everyone likes to see somebody get owned in the air with a rocket!
