Let us not forget some other classic Mopar cinema: “Vanishing Point” (which I believe the band Audioslave was referencing in one of their music videos), “Bullit” with Steve McQueen where a brand new ’68 Dodge Charger was wrecked and burned in a chase scene and “Christine” a live ’57 Chrysler 300 (If I remember correctly).
Since I do the Chevy thing, ’bout the only cult classic is “Two Lane Blacktop” starring a black primered ’55.

@casemods- i used to own a 69 Road Runner. bad ass car. all power- zero options. manual steering, brakes, etc. it ran a 12.49 ET bone stock! the only cup holders we needed back then was between our legs. oh, and i out ran a cop in that car. i buried the speedo. and- i blew out the rear end, too!

@casemods: A better reference would be the Phantasm movies. I believe the main characters car in most of the 10+ movies was a Cuda.

@casemods: I’m guessing that you haven’t actually owned one. I owned a ’71 Dodge Challenger. And if it hadn’t gotten totaled (not my fault even), I’d probably still own it.

The only issue I would have with the interior today would be it being a tad lower than comfortable for me to get out of. The other issue would be no A/C living in Florida, but that’s a mechanical thing, not an interior thing.

And I have yet to have a car deploy airbags, even those that have them.

@casemods: I disagree, if I’m going to go down in a blaze of glory, I don’t want airbags or any other safety device saving me.
