I’m brazilian and I have to say, Carnaval (portuguese spelling) is one of the most boring things in Brazil… 4 days of this outloud shit.
No, I’m not gay.
Any beach is 10x better in any time of the year.

@Detached:
Really? Maybe it’s just because you got used to it. I’d give anything to see one. We have many traditions here, in Europe too, that I don’t find that exciting any more. Then you have people coming here from Canada and they can’t believe their eyes when they see the things we consider “boring.”
But I’m sure the beaches are spectacular as well. Oh yes.

Growing up in NYC the only time I saw the “sights” was when people would visit. So, I’ve been to the Statue of Liberty 4-5 times, top of the Empire State building a few times (barely interesting the 1st time), and the top of the WTC dozens of time. We are currently working our way through every Smithsonian museum in DC. I’d love to see Carnaval in Rio, Comus in New Orleans and CarnivÄle in Venice.
Where else do they have great spring celebrations?
