Ro was supposed to be on DS9, but they couldn’t get the actress to agree to it, or something.
So we had Kira instead.
I remember strongly disliking Ro’s character during TNG’s 5th season. I can’t remember why, though. I was a nerdy 13-year-old then, so I doubt it was really important.

Too much work, she hated the long hours on TNG and a starring roll on DS9 would have involved even more hours. Plus I had heard she wanted to have a kid and the DS9 contract precluded that.

Liked Kira Nerys; loved Ro Laren. LOVED Ro Laren—possibly nose ridges are my “thing..” I still have a trading card with her on it that I use for a bookmark.
