The problem, I think, is that it’s too easy to find “neutral” sources to support any argument (at least in an instance like this where the event in question is shrouded by so much chaos.)

What it all comes down to is what does the individual believe?

Frankly, I just think that it would be impossible for a conspiracy that would require thousands of participants to remain air-tight for eight years. This is not Churchill and some military Brass saying “The Japs are gonna hit Hawaii. Don’t say anything.”

Keeping this quiet (even without the ridiculous inclusion of a ‘controlled demolition’) would simply be too hard. Especially when you keep in mind how many watchdogs there are on both sides of the fence. Remember when Vince Foster ate a bullet in the park?

What I have yet to have sufficiently explained is: What was the goal? History has shown that when people are inclined to slaughter their own countrymen for political or profit-related motives, they are willing to follow through. I can’t believe that Cheney and Rumsfeld would have come up with this only to walk away after a few years.

I didn’t tell you what to accept. There’s enough independent research and reports on the Internet, I mean undoubtedly neutral sources, that should make you at least doubt, what has been reported by mass media. The people who are so absolutely convinced that it all happened like they saw it on TV are just speculating, and the people who are so convinced that it was “an inside job” a la Alex Jones who is a complete fucking moron – are just speculating as well.
I’d say, some evidence is undeniable though.

Sometimes I feel like someone tried to make it look like it was an inside job. Who the hell knows. But the point is, don’t believe everything you hear and see, just because rich people in suits tell you that you should. I know most people don’t care for this kind of thing, they write it off as paranoid nonsense and whatnot. But it’s better to fear a little too much and apologise if it turns out you were wrong, than start countless wars because of self righteousness and irrational pride.

So, I shouldn’t believe what the “mainstream media reports,” but I should accept as gospel a link to The BBC?

Now I have two clearly identified heroes in one thread. I feel superior.

Certain people bring me down with absolute statements like only they know the truth, and of course their truth is absolute. But then, you got suicydking and natedog, and I am hopeful again.

Meanwhile, we forget that the people who did this come from one of our allied nations, and were led by someone who was on our payroll. Saudi Arabia then went and put ads on US television reminding us that we are allies. We counter-attack a whole other nation, and fight another war on behalf of Israel.

Does anyone know how many people in the upper tiers of our government are citizens of Israel? Or that Israel is ranked number one in domestic espionage among US allies?

No one has gotten it right so far, and you will never see the real story. But I would wager it’s a lot more mundane than holographic airplanes flown by robots, and a lot more interesting than guys with boxcutters from a cave.

I think it’s much more complicated than only, was is it an inside job or not. But if you believe everything, as mass media has been reporting those events, you’re bloody naive.

The Reichstag fire *was* an inside job and it set the groundwork for what was supposed to be 1000 years of One World Under Hitler. It didn’t work out that way, but that was the plan.

If 9/11 was a huge conspiracy by Cheney and the gang, why do we now have Obama in office? Why wasn’t martial law declared right before election day?

Also, it’s common knowledge that the only way three people can keep a secret is if two of them are dead. You’re telling me that these guys, who were willing to fuck over the American economy, kill civilians, and let slip the fucking dogs of war took such good care of the thousands of cogs that would be required to make a machine of this magnitude run that not one single disgruntled conspirator has come forward with information?
