ellismate 500x300 Jason Ellis(mate)

Jason Ellis is an Australian who hosts his own Sirius XM talk show every weekday afternoon on Faction XL.

Ellis got his start in pro-skateboarding, and now does everything from motocross to MMA. He also has own tongue-in-cheek metal band named Taintstick (how sweet of a name is that?)

I\’ve been listening to him for about two months now, and its, as they say, its RED DRAGONS! Anyone else listen to his show?

  1. Looked him up on Youtube and wasn’t impressed. Wanna know who is cool? Travis Pastrana.

Ellis just comes off as an attention whore with zero class.

  2. Who says that?

No one says something is “Red Dragons”.

  3. @LukeV1-5: its a ramped-up, high-powered sweeper “phrase” they run during the show…i guess its for anything that is super hardcore or rocks pretty hard. Caller’s will also call in and say it. Its basically just verifying the coolness of something.

Trust me, this guy is going to be the future of radio when O&A and Howard pass, b/c his show is catching on.

After I submitted the post, the Jason Ellis show was responsible for getting the news out that Carey Hart and Pink got back together (not the best news ever, I know) but he got major recognition all around the world.

  4. Sorry but that guy has been around forever.

Like attention whoring back in 1994.

I didn’t know they gave him a radio show. His Spike TV show already bombed horribly and got yanked after a few episodes.

    Maybe he’s a nice guy?

Oh and the Red Dragons have been around forever too. I think its Colin McKays thing. It never really did anything in skateboarding so I guess they’re off to other stuff to try and get people to take them seriously and listen to them?

Jason Ellis was a pretty good vert skater. I’ll give him that.

  5. @Blondie: wow, more info than wiki! very informative…I guess this guy is old…

well, I guess that answers my question everyone, thanks for playing!

but i’ll still be listening…red dragons!

  6. I used to listen to Ellis and I made the switch back to Bubba The Love Sponge on Sirius, it’s a hell of a lot more compelling than Ellis

  7. I try listening to his show, but usually it comes off so random all the time, it’s tough to figure out what the hell is going on. That and he’s not all that funny.

I’d rather listen to an O&A repeat than Ellis.

  8. Stop saying red dragons. Just stop. Unless you are talking about WoW or some other fantasy related subject just please stop now. It’s retarded. Really. Really. Retarded.
His show sucks. He’s as much of an attention whore as that neurotic pain in the ass Kat von Douchebag. He just doesn’t have the tits or the coke addiction she does.

  9. @garbledxmission: Dude, you’re totally not red dragons.

  10. No, no i’m not. Thanks for noticing. I’m more of a blue dragons kind of guy.

  11. The whole “badass” attitude and posture is so 1996. It’s all about high class and nice shirts now, get with the program.

  12. Even George Dubya-Bubba wasn’t stupid enough to be a skateborder. And he was an alcoholic college football cheerleader.
