back in high school & shortly thereafter (the stoner tippin\’ days), we always thought the courthouse looked like a monster… but it took my 10 yr. old daughter to really capture the feeling. Last Thursday (I think, I was bullshitting, hanging out with the neighbors) she asked if she could borrow my camera… fine, be careful, etc. – at one point I remember saying, get the hell out of the street!! what the f*ck are you doing?!?!
well, tonight I finally looked at the pictures. holy crap.

do her a favor and let her start with film and developing. it’s soooooo easy and can be done cheap(ish). the results are (personally) much more worth it. really gives one a respect and appreciation of the art.

She has mad skills. Especially the street pictures are crazy good. Interesting that she played with the angles like that. It’s all about the angle.

I think kids just ‘get it’ because they’re exposed to the idea much more than the older generations were. That and digital cameras make it much, much easier to get acceptable results.

Kids are just awesome with cameras. Some of the best pictures we have are from when my little brother and I decided to use the camera.
But seriously, give that lil gal her own digi cam and let her run wild. Move her up when breaking it is no longer a concern.

Christ, I can tell I had a few to drink when I posted this… I can barely decipher that description, and I wrote it. I was just so floored at what she had done, and felt guilty for questioning her and what she was doing. (Ok, not really. I’m still shaking my head over the laying in the street thing.)
