    What’s the big deal? If anything, it should help you act more civil in public. And BTW, just so you know, you are never private. There are tiny cameras (the size of the ones on your camera!) everywhere. So don’t think for a second that you are not being watched. And that’s highly underestimating the “situation”

    @Nannerpuss: You need to read Little Brother by Cory Doctorow, if you think public surveillance is not a big deal. Actually, you should read it regardless of what you think. Everybody should read it.

    My favorite thing to do on car rides is to look at the graffiti on the trains down SR-14. I’ve seen some pretty amazing pieces.

    @dorix: In your words/your opinion, how is public surveillance a big deal? It’s stopping crime. It’s there in case something happens, not to intrude on your “privacy”. (How much privacy do you expect on the streets? Seriously?)

    @Nannerpuss: The problem is that you’re being recorded, and tracked. CCTV isn’t just another set of eyes that briefly glance at you as you’d glance at any other passerby and then forget about. It’s a set of eyes that remembers you, and remembers you again when the next one sees you one street over, and remembers you again and again, and then it knows everything about where you go, day after day. There’s a trend to authoritarianism in some modern democratic governments, what do you think they’ll do with all of that tracking data? Cory says it far better than… Read more »

    @Nannerpuss: “how is public surveillance a big deal? It’s stopping crime”

    Actually proof shows it does practically nothing to stop crime. A fifth of the entire worlds CCTV cameras are in the UK and they have had virtually no effect on crime levels or convictions.

    @ColombianMonkey: “you must be batshit”? You mean, you must be batshit insane. That was funny.

    @Nannerpuss:

    Why. And do you honestly believe it will end here? What if you died tomorrow. Would you feel like you had done everything you wanted, in your life.

    @Nannerpuss: well it’s not only about yourself. one way or another they’ll manage to put camera’s in houses. It’s mainly about standing as 1 nation, not 1 person.

    @dieAntagonista: Everything fun costs money. I usually just take my dog to the park on my bike or go to the lake since it’s summer now. If I had a job I would totally go the beach and play volleyball.

    @ColombianMonkey: I’ve said it before (I think in this post) that you should never think for a second that cameras aren’t in your house. Pretend like your being watched 24/7 and you’ll never get caught “slippin” (fucking up)

    Cameras are so small you would never know. Perhaps your parents? Nosy neighbors? Previous owners? You never know.

    @Nannerpuss: Yes it’s in this post but i think that comment would be only for people who are important to the government. I sure as one believe the government don’t want to see you(general) sticking your finger up your ass and lickin it and say “hmmm Reeses” nah. that time didn’t come yet. and to do that is kinda worthless on every house. Since I have a realistic logic on technology I can honestly say i understand what your are trying to say but to have it NOW on everyone is meaningless wait till the government has more power to… Read more »

    @Nannerpuss: That’s not true. Especially fun things don’t cost any money. Have you ever thought of taking someone else’s dog for a walk? You know, helping someone out or something. I’m sure you have a neighbour who never has enough time for his dog. Something of that nature would be perfect for you, I bet.
    I’d go to the beach and play volleyball with you. Why do you have to have a job for that? Or why can’t you get a job and then go play volley ball.

    Man I wish I had your banal problems.
